Instructions
A podcast is just an audio file. You don’t need an MP3 player (like an iPod) to take advantage of this. You can listen right at your PC, Mac, or Linux computer using a software program that accepts podcast feeds. At the bottom of this page are links to two common programs used for this.
Here's how it works
Once you have a podcast software installed you need to find the option for subscribing to a podcast (in iTunes it is under the "Advanced" menu). Then copy one of the links above. This can be done by right clicking [control click if your mouse has one button] on the icon and select "Copy Shortcut" or "Copy Link" or "Copy Link Location" depending on your browser. Paste the link and click save or OK. Your software should display the listing and depending on which software you have it may start to download the most recent program. Each software gives options for setting automatic or manual checking.
