Each Sunday over 800 homeless persons are fed and given personal
care items - 40% of these individuals are homeless Veterans. Calvary Lutheran Church is collecting shaving cream, razors, toothpaste and toothbrushes, combs,
socks, gloves and hats, blankets (new or used), large sized T-shirts,
Sweatshirts (new or used), and shampoo, soap, lotion (sample sizes are
perfect).
The community is invited to come to Calvary and assemble T-shirt bags for the Homeless. Prior to that, donations of the above items are needed.

This year, director Paul Lindblad decided to include some of the struggle of the Christmas season, in order to juxtapose it with the triumphs. First Presbyterian Church of Aurora extends an invitation to the Fox Valley community to join this annual event that culminates at the Harkness Family Center, 60 S. Fourth St.
Starting at 6:00 a.m. there will be a choice of two different hike lengths. A map of both routes is available at church's office. Breakfast will be served from 7-8:15 a.m. It includes pancakes, sausages, cereal, fruit, and beverages. Following breakfast, there is a time of thanksgiving to God in song and a brief devotional message.
Breakfast tickets are $3.00 for adults; $1.00 for children age 12 and under. Advance ticket purchases are encouraged. Hike day walk-ins are always welcomed.
