We Sing for Their Supper benefit concert
Location:
Ebenezer Reformed Church
309 E. Park Street - Morrison, IL

The church choirs of Morrsion will again present a community concert, "We Sing for Their Supper," to benefit the Morrison Food Pantry and the Christmas Helping Hands program.  The New Visions/New Directions committee of the United Methodist Church initiated this endeavor last year and the ensuing concert was met with such passion and enthusiasm that it was decided to make it an annual event.

The Food Pantry and the Christmas Helping Hands are vital programs in the community, helping those who are struggling in this depressed econonmy.  Many people in the area have lost jobs and had work hours reduced.  This ultimately affects the countless children in our community.  This upcoming holiday season, the church choirs will use their talents as "We Sing for Their Supper!"  The goal is to exceed last year's freewill offering of $1,800 to accomodate the growing needs of our community.

The concert will consist of a variety of music and styles.  Each participating church choir will perform two numbers.  The combined community choir, under the direction of Kathy Janicek, will perform three selections: "With a Voice of Singing," "We Are a Church," and "The Blessing of Aaron."

A coffee and fellowship hour will follow this performance.  Mark your calendar for this community event of praise and blessings.

Cost: Free (A freewill offering will be taken hoping to surpass last year's offering of $1,800)
